Let me start with a confession.
We absolutely love our kids… but sometimes you just want to drink a hot coffee while it’s still hot and finish a sentence without someone asking for snacks.
So, when the chance came up for a quick 5-day kid-free escape, my husband and I didn’t hesitate. Not even slightly. We were mentally packed before the suitcase even came out of the wardrobe.
After a bit of research, we decided on Agadir and it turned out to be the perfect destination for a short, relaxing getaway.
Is Agadir Morocco Worth Visiting?
Short answer: yes, absolutely.
Agadir is one of Morocco’s most relaxed coastal cities. It has beautiful beaches, warm weather most of the year, and a much calmer atmosphere than some of the country’s larger cities.
For us, it was the perfect balance between:
• relaxing by the pool
• exploring local markets
• seeing incredible landscapes nearby
Unlike busy cities where you feel like you need to rush around sightseeing, Agadir feels slower and more peaceful which was exactly what we needed for this trip.
Best Time to Visit Agadir
One of the biggest reasons we chose Agadir is the weather.
Even when much of Europe is grey and cold, Agadir often has sunshine and temperatures around 20–25°C.
When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the sunshine and the sea breeze. After months of grey skies back home, it felt like an instant mood boost.
Flying With Ryanair (And Surprisingly Loving It)
Our holiday package included flights with Ryanair, which helped keep the trip affordable.
Now, if you’ve flown Ryanair before, you’ll know expectations are usually modest.
So, imagine our shock when:
• the plane took off early
• we landed early
• the pilot proudly announced he’d made up time
The whole plane actually cheered.
I’ve never seen so many strangers united in shared disbelief.

One of my favourite moments of the whole trip wasn’t an excursion.
It was sitting on the balcony early in the morning with a coffee, listening to the waves and realising no one was asking me for cereal.
It felt like my brain finally exhaled.
5 Day Agadir Itinerary (What We Actually Did)
We kept our trip relaxed but still managed to see some amazing places.

Sunset Walk Along the Promenade
One evening we walked along Agadir Beach Promenade as the sun set.
We bought fresh orange juice from a small stand and wandered with nowhere to be.
Simple. Perfect.
Traditional Hammam & Argan Oil Spa
We treated ourselves to a traditional Moroccan hammam at the hotel spa.
I came out feeling like I’d shed three layers of stress.

🥘 Trying Moroccan Food for the First Time
One night we ordered a traditional chicken tagine.
It arrived in the famous clay pot, steaming and fragrant.
We ordered it again the next night. And the next.
Final Thoughts
This trip reminded us that sometimes you don’t need a long holiday to feel refreshed.
Agadir was warm, welcoming, easy to explore and perfect for a short escape.
And travelling with just a small cabin bag? Surprisingly freeing.
